Bananas Foster

Bananas foster. Heard of them? So have I, but I can't remember ever trying them. Do I like them ? I know I like a restaurant called Bananas Foster. I like bananas. And rum. And dark brown sugar. And butter. So I might like them... They've been on my radar for a while and I've been meaning to try them. Then I saw the Queen PW make them on her show (find her recipe here) and decided it was time! I used Martha Stewart's recipe because it didn't require any cream (which I didn't have).

Here's what you need:
- a few bananas (I used two)
- 1/4 cup dark rum
-1/3 cup dark brown sugar
-2 tbsp of butter

This took about 10 minutes!!

(I served it up on a dutch baby, but you could use ice cream)

Melt butter in medium sized pan over medium heat. Add rum and brown sugar. Heat for about five minutes and let this bubble and meld together (and get delicious).

This is what it'll look like.

When it's nice and brown (or after about 5 minutes) add the bananas. It'll just take a few minutes for these guys to get nice and soft. Serve over vanilla ice cream or any other delectable dish!

I served them over dutch babies! Completely delicious!!
